Barbara J. Ivens is senior nutrition director with ConAgra Foods, providing leadership in building outreach and professional education programs that promote healthful choices and balanced nutrition. She is responsible for the virtual ConAgra Foods Science Institute and its bi-monthly CEU accredited webinar series for nutrition professionals.
A Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Barbara is active in the Academy, having served as chair of the Academy’s Foundation, and chair of the Commission on Dietetic Registration. She has been a member of the Weight Management DPG since 2008, serving as Volunteer Chair since 2011.
Barbara holds a Master of Science degree in nutrition from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science in Foods and Human Nutrition from the College of St. Catherine, St. Paul, Minnesota. She completed her dietetic internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Dallas, TX.
