Monica Lebre, MS, RD, LDN
Monica currently owns a private practice specializing in weight management and is an adjunct lecturer at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She started her career as an inpatient dietitian with Sodexo, Inc. in a community hospital working to improve nutrition for patients in medical, surgical and intensive care units. She has worked at Brigham and Women’s and Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospitals’ Center for Metabolic Health and Bariatric Surgery as the nutrition coordinator and senior bariatric dietitian. In this role, she was team lead for program registered dietitians and interns. In addition, she counseled clients through the weight loss surgery process.
Monica graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and has received her Master’s of Science in Applied Nutrition with a specialization in nutrition and fitness from Northeastern University.
She is involved in the Massachusetts Dietetic Association, co-chairing the Annual Nutrition Conference and Expo for the third year in a row. She is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the current treasurer for the Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group, a practice group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
