Linda Gigliotti, MS, RD, CDE
Linda is currently the Program Director of the Weight Management Program at the University of CA, Irvine, working with a multi-disciplinary staff in a medical office setting focusing exclusively on weight management and risk factor reduction. She is a registered dietitian and holds a Master's degree in nutrition education from the University of Delaware. Linda is a Certified Diabetes Educator and holds certificates of training from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in both Childhood/Adolescent and Adult Weight Management (Levels 1 & 2).
Originally from Pennsylvania where she taught at the high school and university level, Linda came to California via Arizona where she was employed in nutritional support and metabolic management. She has extensive experience in outpatient and community education, specifically in weight management and lifestyle modification, working with clients to make choices to manage their health. Linda has 20 years experience with medically-managed weight management programs.
Linda has been a member of WM DPG since its inception, most recently serving as chair of the 2008 Symposium Weight Management:The Harmony of Science and Practice and co-chair of the 2009 Symposium Diabetes and Obesity: Building Collaborative Practices.
